Qualifications

Associate's degree or higher in business, finance or real estate preferred. Previous loan processing or underwriting related experience preferred.

Three years of relevant experience in commercial and income property lending including direct correspondence and contact with borrowers, brokers and other parties related to the transaction.

Good knowledge of regulatory requirements including Regulation B, Fair Lending, etc.

Familiarity with financing for apartments, mobile home parks, office, retail, industrial, and specialty commercial properties would be desirable.

Understanding of Underwriting Department's methodology in analyzing personal and business financial statements and tax returns.

Assist Underwriter in the preparation and submission of Pipeline Requests to appropriate Approval Authority for consent to proceed.
Create Briefing Packages for new loans that require Credit Admin review and consent to proceed from information provided in the initial application package, log loan onto the Underwriting log. From Underwriter's instructions, prepare and deliver Letters of Interest and track receipt and follow-up information.

Process application packages and coordinate with Underwriter, Loan Closing and CRELA. (Time usage: 15%)

From Underwriter's instructions, prepare a 'Needs List" of additional documentation required completing the submission package and forwarding the list to the borrower. Track receipt of "Needs List" documentation and perform follow-up requests with borrowers, brokers and other related parties to facilitate receipt of missing items.

Perform various clerical functions including ordering Third Party Reports (i.e.: property inspections, appraisals, environmental reports, credit reports, CISS credit investigations, title reports, etc.)
